You Removed Plastic From Your Kitchen. But It's Still In Your Bra & knickers.
You've removed plastic from your kitchen and chemicals from your skincare.
So why is the fabric closest to your skin still made from plastic?
Here are 5 reasons health-conscious women are making the switch.

Here are 5 reasons health-conscious women are making the switch.
1
The Fabric Touching Your breast Is TENCEL™ — Not Plastic.
Most bras are made from polyester and nylon: synthetic fibres derived from petroleum. A bra sits against some of your most sensitive skin - for 8, 10, 12 hours a day."
Videris is made from TENCEL™ - a plant-based fibre that's safe against your skin.
No bra can be completely plastic-free - elastane and power mesh are part of what makes a wire-free bra work. But no synthetic fabric sits directly against your breast tissue. For us, that's the line that matters.

Tested For 1000+ Harmful Substances.
Videris carries OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification - meaning every component has been independently tested for over 1,000 harmful substances, including heavy metals and toxic dyes.
For women who read labels, it's the standard that actually means something.

CLEAN BY DESIGN
Many bras achieve softness or breathability through chemical finishes applied to synthetic fabrics.
Videris is different. We use TENCEL™ - a fibre that’s naturally breathable against your skin.
No coatings. No added treatments. Just fibre doing what it’s meant to do.

SUPPORT - WITHOUT THE WIRE
Wire-free doesn't mean unsupported. Videris is designed to support your natural shape — not change or restrict it.
Through considered design and internal structure, you get real lift without digging in or holding you back - up to a G cup.
Just a bra that moves with your body.

Your Questions Answered
Everything you need to know about choosing a more considered bra.
Is the fabric really plastic-free?
The main fabric in Videris bras is TENCEL™ - a plant-based fibre.
Some components, like elastics and power mesh, do contain synthetic fibres to provide stretch, support and durability. We prioritise plant-based fibres in what sits directly against your breast tissue, reducing plastic where it matters most.

Is TENCEL™ good for sensitive skin?
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons we chose it.
TENCEL™ fibres have a very smooth surface structure, which means less friction against the skin compared to most synthetic fabrics. They're also naturally moisture-wicking, which helps regulate temperature and reduce the kind of heat and dampness that can aggravate sensitive or reactive skin.
Unlike many performance fabrics, TENCEL™ achieves this without chemical finishes or treatments. If your skin tends to react to synthetic fabrics, most women find the switch to TENCEL™ makes a noticeable difference.

What about the elastane - is that safe?
We believe in being upfront about this: Videris bras do contain a small amount of elastane in the fabric blend, and power mesh in the back wing construction.
Elastane is a synthetic fibre, but it's used in very small amounts, typically around 5% and is what gives the fabric its stretch, recovery, and shape retention over time. Without it, a wire-free bra simply wouldn't hold its structure through repeated wear and washing.
Elastane is widely considered safe for skin contact, and all Videris components - including elastane - are covered under our OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, meaning they've been independently tested against over 1,000 harmful substances.

What exactly is TENCEL and why is it better?
TENCEL™ is a branded form of lyocell, a fibre made from wood pulp.
While it starts from a natural source, it does go through a processing stage. What makes it different is the closed-loop system, where water and solvents are captured, recycled and reused rather than released into the environment.
No textile is completely impact-free, but this process is significantly more considered than conventional synthetic fabric production and results in a fibre that’s breathable and gentle on skin and designed to be worn close to your body.

Is TENCEL™ better for the environment than cotton?
In most meaningful ways, yes, though we'd rather explain why than just make the claim.
TENCEL™ is made from wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests. What makes it genuinely different from both cotton and most synthetics is the production process: it uses a closed-loop system where the water and solvents used to process the fibre are captured, recycled, and reused, rather than released as waste. This significantly reduces the environmental impact compared to conventional textile manufacturing.
Conventional cotton, while natural, is one of the most water and pesticide-intensive crops in the world. TENCEL™ uses a fraction of the water and doesn't rely on the same chemical inputs.

How do I know this bra is safe to wear?
Videris bras are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning every component - from fabric to thread - has been independently tested and must meet strict limits for over 1,000 substances that may be harmful to human health.
Lingerie falls under Class 2 of the standard, a category for products worn directly against the skin, with stricter requirements than items like outerwear. It doesn’t mean zero presence of all substances, but it does mean the product meets one of the most widely recognised safety standards for textiles worn close to the skin.
We also prioritise plant-based fibres against the skin and avoid chemical finishes. It’s a more considered approach to what you wear every day.

How is this different from other wire-free bras I've tried?
Most wire-free bras on the market are essentially soft bralettes, they remove the wire but don't replace it with anything. The result is minimal structure, minimal lift, and a lot of disappointed women.
Videris bras are engineered differently. Support comes from internal power mesh, technical darting, and considered pattern construction - not from a wire, and not from compressing or flattening your shape. Different styles are designed for different bust sizes, with our Rachel bra supporting up to a G cup.
The TENCEL™ fabric also plays a role here. Because it moves with the body rather than against it, the structure of the bra works with your natural shape rather than fighting it. The result is lift and support that feels comfortable all day, not just for the first hour.

Will these bras really support a larger cup size?
Yes. Videris bras use internal structure and considered design to deliver lift without underwire.
Different styles are engineered for different bust sizes, with Rachel supporting fuller busts up to a G cup, and Angela and Sarah designed for smaller to medium busts.
The fabric and construction also allow for flexibility in cup fit, supporting your natural shape rather than forcing it.

How do I wash my Videris lingerie?
Since our main fabric is natural, we recommend a cool, gentle machine wash in a laundry bag to protect the fibres and maintain shape.
Skip the dryer and air dry flat in the shade to preserve both the fabric and the fit.
To extend the life of your bra, rotate between styles and give the elastics time to rest and recover their shape between wears.
