Are wire-free bras really supportive enough?
For most customers, yes. A Videris bra gives gentle all-day support and full coverage, without underwires.
What it isn't: compression grade underwire lift, or sports-bra containment for heavy impact.
Wire-free support starts at the underband. A well-engineered cradle and soft elastic underband, anchored snugly under the bust, carries most of the load an underwire would otherwise carry and a lined cup with supportive hardware holds your shape without seams against the breast. The exact construction above the underband is style-specific, and each product page walks through how that bra is built.
How is this different from other wire-free bras I've tried?
Most wire-free bras are essentially soft bralettes, they take the wire out and don't replace it with anything. A Videris bra is built like a wired bra, minus the wire. The internal construction is the same:
• A properly engineered cradle that anchors the cup.
• The correct elastic modulus across the bra. A calibrated balance between the underband, underarm, and neckline - each tuned to a slightly different level of support, so the load spreads across the bra in the right areas.
• Powermesh lining through the back wing support and longevity
• Adjustable straps and hook-and-eye closure for flexibility of fit. Both let the bra adjust to your body shape, not the other way around.
What we've removed is the wire. What we haven't removed is the structure. How that structure is finished above the cradle varies by style - see each product page for the full construction.
Which Videris bra is right for me?
Each bra is designed around a specific body and a specific moment, not a one-size-fits-all template.

What is the size i order doesn't fit?
We offer free NZ returns and exchanges and AU exchanges are sent free of charge. Follow our clear sizing guide on the product page, and if it's not perfect, we will help you get the right fit.
What are Videris bras made from?
The main fabric in Videris bras is TENCEL™ - a plant-based fibre.
Some components, like elastics and power mesh, do contain synthetic fibres to provide stretch, support and durability. We prioritise plant-based fibres in what sits directly against your breast tissue, reducing plastic where it matters most.
Videris bras are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning every component - from fabric to thread - has been independently tested and must meet strict limits for over 1,000 substances that may be harmful to human health.
Lingerie falls under Class 2 of the standard, a category for products worn directly against the skin, with stricter requirements than items like outerwear. It doesn’t mean zero presence of all substances, but it does mean the product meets one of the most widely recognised safety standards for textiles worn close to the skin, the same standard used for baby bedding.
